Know when a car is waiting.
The entry loop detects a vehicle and sends a request to the parking controller. The controller compares occupancy with the site’s capacity.
A car arrives. Your system makes the decision.
Explore the complete journey in an interactive 3D car park.
One request per detected lane. A newly detected car joins the back of the request order.
The barrier responds to capacity. The queue responds to confirmed departures.
The entry loop detects a vehicle and sends a request to the parking controller. The controller compares occupancy with the site’s capacity.
When capacity is available, the controller opens the barrier. At full capacity, it holds the entry request while the car waits in the lane.
Once the exit loop confirms a departure, the count updates. The controller can then release the next waiting car.
Vehicle detection, capacity decisions, barrier control and driver information working together.
This is an illustrative demonstration. The 12-space layout, vehicle timings and visual signals are simulated. Entry counting is shown after a vehicle passes the entry loop and barrier; confirmation logic and equipment compatibility are configured for each installation.
Inside a ten-level car park where Innovate Parking manages entry capacity and tracks the upper levels as a car park within a car park.
Two entry lanes on Level 1. Exits on Levels 3 and 10. One system that understands how vehicles move between them.
Explore the installation ↓Across Levels 1–7, drivers can travel up and down the car park. But once a vehicle continues into Level 8, it must leave through the exit on Level 10.
A single overall count cannot tell a driver how much capacity remains in that upper section. The system therefore treats Levels 8–10 as a separate internal car park, included within the main site total.
Overall occupancy and internal occupancy describe different parts of the same journey.
| Vehicle movement | Whole site | Levels 8–10 |
|---|---|---|
| Enters on Level 1 | +1 | No change |
| Moves from Level 7 into Level 8 | No change | +1 |
| Exits on Level 3 | −1 | No change |
| Exits on Level 10 | −1 | −1 |
Moving into the upper section is an internal transfer, so it does not add another vehicle to the overall site total.
When the whole car park is full, a detected vehicle waits at its entry barrier and the controller retains the lane’s request.
Once an exit is confirmed, the oldest pending entry request gets the newly available space. Priority follows the request order across both entries.
